Mark Twain made a quote years ago that stated “The most important days in your life are the day you were born and the day you found out why.” I have always known that my birthday was important because my family has always made me feel that it was. The purpose of that day seem to allude me for many years until I became a seasoned Christian.
After studying the Word of God for over twenty years, teaching it to others and working in many ministries, God made it quite clear to me that I was called by Him just as He had called Jeremiah many years ago. As noted in Jeremiah 1:10,
“See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.”
I have faith to believe that if God said to Jeremiah that He was with him, I know He will be with me as well. He has sent me to teach the Word to all nations enabling His people that are called out by His name to observe all the things that He has commanded them to do. I am commanded by God to seek and to save the lost and to evangelize to the world.
I am to sow His seeds in the hearts and souls of all those who are willing to hear the TRUE WORD of God. There are many seeds that are being sown in this world we live in today but they are not always the seeds of God. It is my prayer and faith in Jesus Christ, that as I journey on the different roads that I am led by Him to travel, He will enable me to prepare the soil which is the soul of man to receive the Word of God and to decipher the difference between His truth and the world’s deception of lies.
Once God has enabled me to sow good seeds into the souls of men, these seeds will take root and will bear good fruit. A good plant will bear good fruit that not only will it enjoy but many others can partake of this fruit as well. The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few and there are many who are not walking in the path of righteousness.
I pray that the body of Christ will grow along with me and multiply as we believers prepare for His return for no man knows the exact hour. It is not God’s will that any soul be lost.
